Shrestha announces candidacy for Nepali Congress President



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Gopal Man Shrestha said he would contest for the party President in the upcoming 14th general convention.

Shrestha made the announcement after NC Vice-president Bimalendra Nidhi, who has also announced his candidacy for the party top post, opened a contact office in Kathmandu recently.

While announcing his candidacy, Shrestha said he has the support of his friends and cadres.

He also expressed the hope that party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, too, would support him.
