Three more persons, including victim’s father, held in connection with Sujita’s murder



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three more persons, including father of the victim, on the charge of being involved in the murder of Sujita Thakur of Bhrampura of Loharpatti Municipality-7, in Mahottari, Monday.

Police held them for withholding information about the murder, involvement in hiding the body and bargaining to conceal the incident.

The arrested have been identified as Kameshwor Pandey (father of the deceased Sujita) residing at Pipara Rural Municipality, Anju Thakur of Bhangaha Municipality-1 (sister of murder mastermind Rupesh Thakur) and Binod Mandal alias Pramod Mandal of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-24.

Police investigation revealed that Sujita’s father Kameshwor bargained with the murder-accused to hide the incident. Anju, sister of the mastermind of the murder, also concealed information though she knew about the incident on the day of the incident itself. Similarly, investigation also brought to fore that Mandal helped to exhume the body from the place of initial burial and buried it in a different place.
