Senior leaders of ruling coalition hold discussion on cabinet expansion



KATHMANDU: Senior leaders of the ruling coalition are holding discussion on cabinet expansion at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar Monday.

Nepali Congress (NC) President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav have began talks to expand the Council of Ministers and distribution of ministerial portfolios among the ruling coalition.

Supporter of the coalition UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal is not attending the discussion.

Earlier, the cabinet expansion had been stalled in hopes of senior leader Nepal’s participation in the government.
