Ruling alliance’s task-force meeting underway at Baluwatar

Dwells on cabinet expansion



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the task-force formed by the ruling alliance has started at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Monday morning.

The task-force meeting led by Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka is discussing government operations and cabinet expansion, said a Baluwatar source.

Other members in the task-force include Ramesh Lekhak and Minendra Rijal from the NC, Barshaman Pun and Dev Gurung from the CPN (Maoist Center) and, Rajendra Shrestha and Mahendra Kumar Roy from Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP).

The the task-force meeting is dwelling on the recommendations of the parties joining the cabinet led by NC.

The ruling alliance JSP and the Maoist Center have not yet been able to recommend a minister. Similarly, the Nepal-Khanal faction of the CPN-UML has decided not to participate in the government even if it supports the government.
