Maoist Center’s SC meeting taking place today

To pick leaders to partake in Deuba cabinet



KATHMANDU: A Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) is taking place today. The meeting will be held at the central party headquarters in Paris Danda in Koteshwor at 3 pm.

According to a Maoist Center leader, the meeting will be focused on the selection of ministers to take part in the cabinet.

Currently, Janardan Sharma and Pampha Bhusal are the Home Minister and Energy Minister respectively in the Council of Ministers from the Maoist Center.

The Maoist Center is likely to get seven more ministries, according to leaders.

Similarly, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khad, Law Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki and Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha are in the cabinet from the Nepali Congress.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba who took over the helm of the government on July 13 has not been able to expand his cabinet.
