KATHMANDU: With the 14th General Convention of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) fast-approaching, the dispute seen on the active memberships has been a hard nut to crack for the party.
The issues of the active memberships have been seen in over 500 wards across the country at a time when there are hardly two weeks left before the ward and municipality and rural municipality conventions.
The issues cropped up after the influential party leaders attached the distribution of the active memberships to their win and loss in the upcoming general convention.
Central Working Committee (CWC) member Arjun Narashinga KC has said it has been a hard nut to crack for the party to resolve the issue seen on active memberships before the general convention.
The dispute of active memberships has yet to be sorted out in over 500 wards of districts including Kathmandu, Nuwakot, Morang, Sunsari, Kailali, Surkhet, Kavrepalanchwok, Syangja, Sindhupalchowk.
The 14th General Convention of the party has been scheduled for September 1-4.
