DAOs for tightening prohibitory order

Essential shops allowed to open only in morning from Monday



KATHMANDU: The District Administration Offices (DAOs) in Kathmandu Valley have taken a decision to tighten the prohibitory order from Monday.

A meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) on Sunday decided to allow government and banks and financial institutions to operate with one-fourth of the staff.

The DCCMC also decided to restrict opening of essential shops only until 10 am from Monday. Earlier, essential shops opened from 5 pm to 7 pm in the evening as well.

CDOs of the Valley are also expected to issue more provisions to control the ongoing second wave of the pandemic.
