Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 3,325 with 27 new fatalities

KATHMANDU: As many as 27 COVID-19 patients have reportedly succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll to 3,325 as of Sunday afternoon.

Out of 27 reported toll cases, 14 have died in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile,  Nepal recorded a total of 5,763 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 5,706 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 57 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 1,932 persons in Kathmandu, 355 in Lalitpur, and 208 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 1,287 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.
