Bhaktapur hospital named best provincial hospital

KATHMANDU: Bhaktapur hospital has been announced the best provincial hospital. The hospital received 82 points in 100 in the minimum service standards of the Ministry of Health and Population.

The evaluation was based on the speedy progress achieved by the hospital in minimum service standards, and the scoring was based on field inspection, said senior health administrator of Bagmati province Dr Arjun Sapkota.

This comes as a huge turnaround for the hospital this year. The hospital had received only 38 points last year.
Bhaktapur hospital now has all the foundation to become the first choice hospital for health service, not only for Bhaktapur but for Kathmandu valley as a whole, said senior medical superintendent of the Quality Measurement and Control Division under the Ministry of Health Dr Roshan Neupane.

Medical Superintendent of Bhaktapur hospital Dr Sumita Gautam gave the credit of the turnaround to all the staffers as well as the board of directors, the local people’s representatives and all level governments.

Bhatkapur hospital has recently begun providing ventilator-equipped ICU service, the first in its 116 years hospital. RSS
