SURKHET: Madhav Kumar Nepal-led CPN (Unified Socialist) has picked province lawmaker Devi Oli as party’s chief whip in Karnali province assembly.
According to Unified Socialist sources, Tuesday’s parliamentary party meeting gave Oli the responsibility of the chief whip.
The Unified Socialist has got three members in Karnali province assembly. Its parliamentary party Chandra Bahadur Shahi is currently the Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives.
The party has been demanding for three ministries in Nepali Congress led government in the province.
