Medha Upreti’s poetry e-book ‘The Rebellion’ released



KATHMANDU: Medha Upreti’s poetry e-book ‘The Rebellion, A Collection of Contemporary Poems’ was released online Monday and is available on Thuprai reading app.

Poets and artists gathered in an outdoor event at Flavour’s Café, Boudha, Kathmandu on Monday for the release of the e-book.

The Rebellion, A Collection of Contemporary Poems is an e-book of hundred and eight poems that explore life’s nuances and human nature’s blatancies as well as cherish the goodness. Some poems are in open form, some are in narrative form, and others are in free verse and a few follow patters of rhyme.

The book invites readers to journey within the pages and discover a poetic adventure.

Upreti’s e-book is also available to read on https://thuprai.com/book/the-rebellion/ and the E-book reader app ‘Thuprai’, which runs on ios and android devices. The price of the e-book is only Rs 120.

“Out of hundred and eight poems, a few are on Tihar, lights, traditions and festivals in ‘The Rebellion’ book, hence I’ve released the book before Tihar,” said Upreti.

Upreti, is a writer, translator and tutor based in Kathmandu. Her translation of TPMainali’s ‘Samarpan’ in English titled ‘Flames of Devotion’ was published in paperback in 2013 in Kathmandu.

Medha published her debut poetry book Musings On The Ordinary And The Mundane earlier in 2021.

The Rebellion, A Collection of Contemporary Poems is Upreti’s second poetry book.
