Govt’s carrying out good work but failing to promote it: NC leader Mahat

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Joint General Secretary Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has said though the government had been doing good work, the party was not able to promote them widely.

Speaking at a program in Trishuli Monday, he said, “The incumbent government is led by the NC by embracing coalition partners. It isn’t a government led only by our party. Though there were some delays in cabinet expansion, the government has begun to do a good job. We just haven’t been able to publicize it,” Mahat said.

He said that the NC-led government, after coming to power, had managed at least 10 million COVID-19 vaccines and subsequently the conditions brought about by the pandemic were improving.

He added that the NC would form a majority government after the elections. He also instructed the cadres to get involved in the preparations for the general election.

He urged cadres and leaders to not view the general convention as a competitive event but rather a practice of democracy within the party.
