Province 1 Chief calls on political parties to form new government by 1 pm tomorrow



KATHMANDU: Province 1 Chief Somnath Adhikari ‘Pyasi’ has invited political parties to submit claim for the formation of a new government in the province by 1 pm Tuesday following the resignation of Chief Minister Bhim Acharya.

The call for new government was made immediately after CM Acharya resigned on Monday. Province Chief Pyasi also approved CM Acharya’s resignation.

The governor has called on the parties to submit their claim for the formation of a new government by 1 pm on Tuesday pursuant to Article 168 (2) of the constitution.

Following the Chief Minister’s invitation, political parties are preparing to submit their claim.

A coalition of the Nepali Congress, the CPN-Maoist Center, the CPN-Unified Socialist and the Janata Samajbadi Party, were collecting signatures of lawmakers to submit their claim for formation of new government to the governor in the province on Monday.
