NWPP Chair Bijukchhe urges government to increase investment in education

KATHMANDU: Chairperson of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP), Narayan Man Bijukchhe, has urged the government to increase the investment in education sector.

Addressing an interaction organized by Khwopa Engineering College in Bhaktapur Friday, Chair Bijukchhe expressed the view that the investment made in education does not go wastage.

He shared, “The investment made in education sector will never go wastage. So the government should increase investment on this sector. People can get quality and affordable education if local levels run colleges and universities.”

Bhaktapur Municipality is running the Khwopa Engineering College. Chairperson of the College Management Committee and Mayor Sunil Prajapati pointed out the need of honesty among the students pursuing engineering education, adding that students across the nation have got opportunity to get higher education from college under Khwopa Engineering College.

Likewise, Deputy Mayor Rajani Joshi stressed that students should involve in preservation and promotion of heritages built by our ancestors.

Principal at Khwopa Engineering College, Sujan Maka, and Principal of Khwopa College of Engineering (TU), Sunil Duwal, said that Khwopa Engineering College has started teaching Earthquake Engineering and Rural Development subject in master level for the first time, adding heritages preservation and building a civilized city is important.
