Maoist Center leader Sharma urges PM Oli to save UML unity

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center leader Dinanath Sharma has urged Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to safeguard the unity of the CPN-UML.

Addressing the National Assembly on Thursday, he urged the PM Oli to give up his pride and preserve the unity of the CPN-UML.

“The prime minister dismantled the party. He ended Nepal’s leftist movement. With the split of Nepal Communist Party, the UML and Maoist Center split into two entities and even the UML is as of now is on the verge of division,” he said. “Until PM Oli does not make contribution, the UML will never remain the same.”

Sharma said the prime minister had made many mistakes in three years and urged him to self-criticize. He suggested resolving the party’s dispute through discussion. “If the UML survives, the leftist movement will survive. Consult with all leaders,” he urged the PM.
