NRB asks people to ignore deceptive information on social networking sites

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged people not to believe in any deceptive information circulated on social networking sites from its alleged Facebook page.

It has drawn attention to the misleading information being circulated from its fake Facebook page on social networking sites such as Facebook.

The NRB does not have its own official Facebook page and neither has it posted any information on Facebook, according to a statement released by the NRB today.

Those creating the Facebook pages in the name of the NRB illegally and posting deceptive information will be booked under cybercrime, said the country’s Central Bank.
