Students burn PM Oli’s effigy in Kathmandu demanding restoration of parliament



KATHMANDU: Five student organizations affiliated with the opposition alliance have burned an effigy of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Kathmandu demanding restoration of the parliament.

The Joint Struggle Committee of five student organizations, including the Nepal Students Union, All Nepal National Free Students’ Union, has protested the authoritarian rule of PM Oli by burning his idol in Exhibition Road in Kathmandu.

Students’ organizations said they staged a joint protest against the authoritarian regime of PM Oli and demanded the restoration of the parliament.

Police arrested youths involved in the demonstration.
