China provides food stuffs to Olangchungola, Yangma folks

TAPLEJUNG: China has provided food materials to the people of Olangchungola and Yangma of Taplejung district.

China provided 2,000 packets of rice, 500 packets of all-purpose flour, edible oil, salt, and other foodstuffs as per the households and population.

Foodstuffs worth five million rupees were provided.

People of Olangchungola and Yangma areas have started heading towards the bordering area after Chinese officials returned back after leaving the foodstuff support at the bordering area one week ago.

Ward chairperson of Phaktanglung-7, Chhetan Bhote, said that the foodstuffs have been kept at the building constructed by China in the bordering area.

China has been providing foodstuffs and health supplies to the community of Nepal-China bordering area and mountainous settlement before this also.

Bhote said that they have started bringing the foodstuffs provided by China at Olangchungola from Monday. Similarly, Yangma also started bringing foodstuffs from Tuesday. It will take around two weeks to return back to Yangma bringing the foodstuffs from the bordering area, Tiptala.
