Jagdamba Motors launches ‘Proton X 70’ in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Jagdamba Motors has launched Proton’s first SUV, “Proton X 70”, in Nepal through virtual live on
Wednesday.

The vehicle, which was already scheduled to be launched, was postponed due to the uncomfortable situation and lockdown caused by the second wave of the global pandemic, coronavirus in Nepal.

Therefore, this vehicle has been presented to the customers as things are slowly getting into normal condition. The virtual live launch event, which was live on Proton Cars Nepal’s official Facebook and YouTube page, saw an enthusiastic turnout.

Along with this, Jagdamba Motors has introduced the option of a well-equipped SUV with a very excellent design and features among the Nepali-4 wheeler automobile lovers at an introductory price of Rs. 8.699 million.

Talking about Proton X70, on the launch Inauguration program, Shahil Agrawal, President of Shanker group and Jagdamba Motors said, “Proton X70 is an SUV that has gained fame and success not only in Malaysia but also in many countries across the world.

We hope that this vehicle will be successful in Nepal as well along with its global success story. We want to take Jagdamba Motors towards new heights through Proton and hope that the Proton X70 will only begin a new chapter in the Nepali automobile market.”

Similarly, speaking on the launch event, Deepak Agrawal, Vice President of Jagdamba Motors, said, “Proton has come to Nepal only after achieving success in more than 70 countries of the world. It is a much-loved SUV across the world. I can confidently say that, this vehicle is highly suitable for Nepali roads, due to its unique design and amazing technological features.

Also, 5-year safety warranty and 5-star NCAP rating make it really safe and reliable for a drive”. Agarwal, who seems very optimistic about Proton 70, added, “We are confident that Nepali automobile lovers will take Jagdamba Motors to a new height of success by supporting Proton.”

“Proton X70” is an SUV full of sophisticated features and design which also happens to be one of the most popular SUVs in the world. Its exterior, features a sleek front bumper, floating roof design, a tiger’s eye-shaped LED headlamp, daytime running LED lights, rain detection wipers, panoramic sunroof, and a Power Tailgate with kick sensor which makes it extra and more attractive.

Similarly, its interior possesses a NAPPA leather steering wheel with radio control and a Bluetooth phone control system. It also has an 8-inch large screen, smart mobile phone connectivity system, intelligent air purification system, cabin filter, 6 USB ports, portable passenger seats, and ventilated front seats.

It is also more powerful in terms of capacity. It features a 1.5 TGDi turbocharged gasoline direct injection engine with an electronic shift lever that provides 7-speed DCT which is co-developed by Volvo.
