India’s COVID-19 death toll nearing 400,000

NEW DELHI: Southern neighbor India’s COVID-19 death toll has closed in on 400,000, of late.

India recorded 48,878 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 30,410,577.

Currently, 529,580 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 29,481,522 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 398,400-mark.

With 991 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 399,475, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,962,337 and infected 182,959,568 globally until the filing of this news.
