Thapa’s void will be felt by Nepal’s politics for a long time: CPN (UML)

KATHMANDU: The ruling party CPN (UML) has said that Nepal’s political sector would feel the void for a long time due to the demise of Bibeksheel Sajha party’s former coordinator Ujjawal Thapa.

Thapa, 44, had been hospitalized after being infected with COVID-19. He breathed his last on Tuesday afternoon during the treatment although he had tested negative in the last test for COVID-19.

In a condolence message issued by CPN (UML)’s central office secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang here on Tuesday, the CPN (UML) has commended late Thapa’s political ideologies, calling it an inspiration for Nepali youth.

CPN(UML) has also lauded Thapa as a rising politician and public figure in Nepal’s political horizon who had new visions and had given people hope.

Stating that a good political friend had been lost due to his demise, CPN (UML) has offered tributes to late Thapa and has extended condolences to the bereaved family.
