CJ and SC Bar agree to adjourn hearing House dissolution case

To ensure participation of judges in Constitutional Bench on seniority basis



KATHMANDU: The hearing on the writ petitions against the dissolution of the House of Representatives has been adjourned today.

The hearing has been adjourned after a meeting between Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana and Supreme Court Bar office bearers agreed to amend the regulations on the formation of a constitutional bench.

Both sides shave agreed to amend the regulation to ensure the participation of judges in the Constitutional Bench on the basis of seniority, according to Senior Advocate Purnaman Shakya.

They have also decided to prepare an immediate proposal for the amendment of the regulations and submit it to the full court within a week.
