SEE results to be published based on internal evaluation

KATHMANDU: The results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) will be published based on the internal evaluation, this year, too.

A cabinet meeting held on Monday evening decided to publish the SEE results based on the internal evaluation.

According to the decision, the concerned schools make an internal assessment of their students and  send the details to the respective District Education Development and Coordination Committee.

And the District Education Development and Coordination Committee will send the details to the National Examination Board (NEB).

The NEB will prepare the the result sheets based on the international  assessment  sent by the schools and publish the SEE results.

Earlier, a meeting of the Ministry of Education had sent a proposal to conclude the SEE exam based on the international to the cabinet.

Last year, a three-member evaluation committee comprising the headmaster, class teacher and experienced teacher had made an assessment of their students based on 10 percent marks from the first term, 30 percent from second term and 60 percent from the final exam.

The government has adopted the previous method since the SEE examinations could not be conducted due to COVID-19 pandemic this year, too.
