Kavre DAO issues weeklong prohibitory order



KATHMANDU: A prohibitory order has been issued for a week in Kavre to tackle surging coronavirus infections.

Kavre District Administration Office (DAO) issued a notice stating that a restraining order has been issued in the market area and highway of Kavre with effect from Sunday noon to May 9.

Chief District Officer Shiva Ram Pokhrel informed that restraining order is imposed in the area of ​​500 meters on the left and right side of the road section from Araniko Highway to Banepa Bazaar, Dhulikhel, Panchkhal Bazaar area to Dolalghat, Nala Bhagwati from Banepa Tindobato and Banepa-Panauti Khopasi road section.

Similarly, the area of ​​200 meters on the left and right side of the BP Highway in the district is subject to the prohibitory order. During the period, vehicular movement on the highways is also restricted.

CDO Pokharel said media personnel will be allowed to move only on the basis of the identity card issued by the Information Department, no more than 25 people will be allowed to attend weddings and the shops of daily necessities will be allowed to open by meeting health safety protocols.
