NC lawmaker Thapa raps PM for not prioritizing COVID-19

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress youth leader and lawmaker Gagan Thapa has taken strong exception to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for not prioritizing COVID-19 pandemic.

Taking to social media, leader Thapa said, “It is objectionable that you (Prime Minister) have not still taken COVID-19 pandemic seriously when the line ministry under your supervision has already admitted that the pandemic has gone beyond control.”

Thapa has said that the possible damage the pandemic would cause can be reduced by using the available resources and the manpower. “The government should be ready to consult experts and take proper decisions to curb the COVID-19,” Thapa said, adding, “We are ready to cooperate with the government. Give up your arrogance.”

Meanwhile, Thapa has urged one and all to be responsible saying that the government alone cannot tackle the COVID-19 pandemic which has gone beyond control.
