Four Covid-19 infected people die in Kanchanpur, Taplejung



KATHMANDU: Four Covid-19 infected people have died in Kanchanpur and Taplejung districts on Friday night.

Of them, two aged 52 and 48 from Bhimdatta Municipality-18 and 14 in Kanchanpur district died at Mahakali Hospital and one aged 68 from the municipality-18 in home isolation, said the police.

Likewise, 33 people entering Nepal from neighboring India through Gaddachauki and Gauriphanta transits have been found infected with the virus. The infection cases were from 284 antigen tests for the virus on Friday.

Similarly, a Covid-19 infected woman died in Taplejung district. The deceased has been identified as Bhakti Maya Tumbahamphe of Phungling Municipality-5.

Tumbahamphe was admitted to Birtacity Hospital for heart problems. She was tested positive for the infection on Thursday during treatment.

The hospital on Friday discharged her asking her family to put her at home quarantine facility, said Chief District Officer Umesh Pandey.
