Ex-British Gurkhas’ pension up by 2.93%

KATHMANDU: The pension of former British Gurkha armies has been increased.

The British government hiked the pension of the former British Gurkha ex-servicemen by 2.93 percent to adjust the inflation of Nepal.

According to the new adjustment, the lowest amount of pension to be received by an ex-British Gurkha army will reach Rs 37,836, the Defense Ministry of the United Kingdom (UK) said.

The new pension will be effective from the month of April this year.
