KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) is holding a Standing Committee (SC) meeting on Thursday morning.
The meeting to be held at the central party headquarters in Paris Danda will dwell on the contemporary political issues including the withdrawal of the party’s support to the Oli-led government, said leader Ganesh Shah.
The Maoist Center is under moral pressure to withdraw its support to the incumbent government after the Supreme Court restored the erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) scrapping their unification as the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) on March 7.
Expressing his views at the special hour of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Maoist Center’s Chief Whip Dev Prasad Gurung argued that the incumbent government would be invalid if it did not take a vote of confidence by April 5.
Gurung reminded that getting a vote of confidence by April 5 is mandatory for the government as the erstwhile ruling Nepal Communist Party was annulled after the Supreme Court (SC) verdict of March 7.
