India records 72,182 fresh COVID-19 cases, 458 deaths



NEW DELHI: India recorded 72,182 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 12,220,669.

Currently, 585,215 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 11,472,494 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 162,900-mark.

With 458 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 162,960, according to the latest figures collated by Worldometers.
