No change in poll date, PM Oli reiterates

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has reaffirmed his statement saying that the by-election announced for April 30 and May 10 would be held on the slated dates.

Addressing the engineering gathering organized by Progressive Engineering Association Nepal on Monday, the PM said that there was no doubt on timely election as people’s fresh mandate was needed for the country.

The PM was of the view that the House of Representatives (HoR) was dissolved since the HoR was made a forum for instability by the party leaders.

Stating that he was in favor of the law, Oli said that the verdict of the justices was acceptable to him in regard to the HoR dissolution.
