Agreement being reached with parties including NC for joint struggle: Prachanda



KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that an accord is being reached with other parties for joint struggle for the restoration of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Addressing a meeting of the party’s central committee of his faction on Monday, Prachanda claimed that an agreement will be reached with the Nepali Congress, Janata Samajwadi Party, and other parties.

Prachanda claimed so while there are internal differences within the NC and the JSP over whether to opt for elections or the restoration of Parliament.

“Other parties are also coming together on the issue of re-establishing the Parliament,” he said.

He said that they are in agreement to form a coalition government with NC in Province 1 and Bagmati Province.
