NEPSE index up by 37.7 points

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased by 37.7 points to reach 2408.8 points on the second trading of the week on Monday.

Likewise, the Sensitive Index increased by 4.95 points to close at 437.28 points.

Today, 13,311,942 shares of 203 companies have been bought and sold through 65,778 transactions resulting in a total transaction of Rs 6.97 billion.

Out of twelve sub-indices, the shares of microfinance and collective investment fund sub-indices have decreased while the indicators of other sub-indices went up.

The banking sub-index increased by 20.4 points and reached 1,689.66 points, while hydropower went up by 33.6 points and reached 1,876.91 points.

Apart from these, indicators of development banks, non-life insurance, life insurance, trading, hotels, finance, manufacturing, and other groups have also increased.

The share price of Century Commercial Bank, which topped the list of highest-earning companies in NEPSE today, increased by 10 percent to Rs 253 per share, while the share price of Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, which topped the list of highest losing companies, fell by 6.56 percent to Rs 1,239.
