NC’s 13 sister organizations staging nationwide demonstrations today



KATHMANDU: As many as 13 sister organizations of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) are staging demonstrations against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) across the country today.

The sister organizations will hold demonstrations in all the 77 districts against the HoR dissolution, informed Bishwa Prakash Sharma, the spokesperson of the NC.

Posting a twitter message, Sharma said, “That Magh 19. This Magh 19. That was the day of ‘black regression’. This is the demonstration against the ‘red regression’. Their intent behind the move is the same, regardless of the color.”

Sharma in his tweet has urged one and all to come out of their houses to participate in the nationwide protest rally against the HoR dissolution organized by 13 sister organizations of the NC.

As per the decision of the Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the NC, sister organizations of the NC are taking out protest rallies in all the 77 districts today.

Main opposition party has accused the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) of heading towards the path of authoritarianism through the dissolution of the HoR.

It has alleged the Oli-led government of being indifferent to the existing corruption, failing to maintain good governance and control the COVID-19 pandemic.
