Kathmandu Valley logs 167 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 167 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 134 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 15 in Bhaktapur, and 18 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, the country recorded a total of 426 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus tally reached 261,019 in the country as of Friday afternoon.

Likewise, the Ministry shared that now the country has 6,048 reported active cases of the virus.

In the past 24 hours, altogether 748 infected people got recovery from the virus infection. So far, 253,107 people recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country.

Similarly, eight persons succumbed to the virus across the country in the past 24 hours, hitting the total COVID-19 related deaths to 1,864.
