Lamichhane playing first match in Big Bash Saturday



KATHMANDU: Nepali leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is set to play the tournament of Big Bash League underway in Australia on Saturday.

Lamichhane is participating in the first match against Melbourne Stars as he has completed his 14-day quarantine, said Raman Shiwakoti, his sports manager.

Lamichhane, who is associated with Hobart Hurricanes, could not participate in opening six matches due to COVID-19 infection.

He had been infected with COVID-19 while in Nepal and had to stay in quarantine upon reaching Australia, said Shiwakoti.
