Issuance of labor permits through online resumes



KATHMANDU: The Department of Foreign Employment has resumed issuing labor permits online from Friday.

The Department published a notice stating that the process of issuing permits that was suspended owing to the coronavirus pandemic will resume from Friday.

It stated that a person who wants to get a labor permit can fill the form online by paying the amount of life insurance and welfare fund.

After obtaining the labor approval by scanning their eyes and fingerprints from the online system of the Department, they will be able to get labor approval online.

The form for re-employment can be filled online by clicking on the online labor approval form of the Department’s website www.dofe.gov.np.

After filling the form, one can choose from which branch one will get the work permit again.
