Vested interest of some leaders inhibited goal of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has blamed that the vested interest of some leaders inhibited the country at a time when it was heading towards the goal of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’.

Conveying New Year 2021 greetings on Friday morning, Prime Minister Oli said the disgruntled faction within the party created obstructions in the path of the national development, referring to Prachanda-Nepal faction.

“We are constantly moving ahead towards the goal of Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali. The political stability is a must for realizing this goal,” said Oli in the New Year message, adding, “Unfortunately, we had to face many obstacles, primarily those posed by the vested interest of some leaders in the party, in the course of leading the country towards the set goal.”

He further said that the other obstacle to the goal was created by COVID-19 pandemic which adversely affected our social, economic and cultural aspects of the country.

“Despite all odds and deterrence, we are constantly moving ahead to achieve the goal,” said Prime Minister Oli.

PM Oli is also virtually addressing the Nepali people living in 36 countries abroad in a while today.
