87 COVID-19 suspects put in isolation across Nepal

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has said that a total of 1,060 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till Tuesday afternoon.

Speaking at a regular press meet organized by the ministry today, Spokesperson Bikash Devkota informed that five people have been so far tested positive for coronavirus in Nepal.

Among them, one has been discharged while four are undergoing treatment in isolation.

According to him, 87 COVID-19 suspects are currently put in isolation across the country.

“10 patients are in isolation in Teku Hospital and 77 in hospitals outside Kathmandu Valley,” said Spokesperson Devkota.

He added that contacts have been established with some 80 percent of people who came in contact with people currently put in isolation.
