One suspected with coronavirus infection in Dharan, sent to Kathmandu

DHARAN: A patient who visited the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences has been suspected of being infected with the coronavirus.

He has been sent to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division in Kathmandu after being diagnosed with symptoms similar to coronavirus.

He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital on Thursday following a complaint of high fever and throat pain.

ICU Chief Dr. Gyanendra Malla said he has been sent to Kathmandu on Thursday evening.

A permanent resident of Dharan-11, the patient had arrived in Nepal from South Korea some five days ago.
