KATHMANDU: The third day of the central committee (CC) meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is deliberating on the political dossier presented by party chairmen KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal in Kathmandu.

The deliberations on the dossier, organizational dossier, and statue amendment proposal have taken place by dividing the central members into 15 groups in alphabetical order.

The team leaders of the entire group will present a conclusion of the deliberations.

Chairman KP Oli had inaugurated the CC meeting in which another chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal had presented the political report of the party at the CC meeting that kicked off at City Hall in the capital on Wednesday.

Similarly, General Secretary Bishnu Paudel had tabled a constitution amendment proposal in the meeting.

The political dossier has proposed to hold its general convention from April 7-12 in 2021.

The majority of the central members have raised concerns over the widely-debated Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), party sources have said.

Likewise, the members also complained that the government has not followed the party’s directives. They have expressed dissatisfaction over the government’s performance, failure to control corruption, among others.

The members also ‘reviewed’ the objectives of the MCC with several of them raising skepticism over its ‘intention’.

They have also suggested the party leadership to endorse it from the parliament only after making clear the ‘intent’ of the Compact.
