Tipper-hit claims milkman in Gorkha

GORKHA: A milkman has died after being hit by a tipper at Chhepetar of Gorkha district on Friday morning.

Chhepetar area remained tense after the tipper killed Manmaya Tamang, 52, while she was delivering the milk to customers on the premises of Gorakhkali crusher plant in Gorkha municipality-10 this morning.

Tamang, a local, died on the spot.

Irate locals vandalized over two dozen tippers and excavators in protest of the killing. Police said they are investigating the case after taking the driver into custody.
