Google awarded hackers Rs 800 million

KATHMANDU: Google, the largest Internet Company in the world, has awarded hackers over Rs 800 million in 2019.

According to international media reports, the Internet giant allocated around US $6.5 million for the hackers for ‘their contribution’ to keeping the Internet safe in 2019.

Google has awarded the hackers under its vulnerability reward program for finding out security drawbacks in the various Google products.

The hackers were feted for finding out security-related lapses in the Google Chrome and Android services, according to news agencies.
