Power outage occurring due to technical issues: NEA

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has said that a power outage occurred at some places due to technical problems and now the issue has been resolved.

NEA issued the statement after some online media and social media reported that the power authority started enforcing load shedding.

NEA said that it was importing electricity from India after power produced by authority and the private sector failed to meet the demand.

The NEA has also requested to understand such problems saying that the power cut needs to be enforced to shift poles and transformers among other technical issues.

Stating that load shedding has already ended in Nepal three years ago, NEA stated that work is being done to prevent power outrage happen again.
