Two lawmakers of Prachanda-Nepal faction join Oli faction

JANAKPURDHAM: Two provincial lawmakers of Prachanda-Nepal faction in Province 2 have joined Oli faction following the split of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

Lawmakers Ram Chandra Mandal and Jwala Kumari Sah joined the Oli faction few days after Prabhu Sah, who was considered close to Prachanda, supported Prime Minister Oli. Prabhu Sah now has become the minister in the Oli-led cabinet.

Delivering her views in a mass meeting organized recently in Birgunj by Oli faction, Jwala Kumari Sah said she joined Oli faction after her several suggestions to Prachanda fell on deaf ears.

Mandal, who attended the gathering, said he joined Oli faction after Prachanda ran only after power by ignoring crucial national agendas.
