Absence of Ayurved doctor affecting patients in Baitadi



KATHMANDU: The number of people coming to the District Ayurved Health Center in Melauli of Baitadi district has been increasing day by day. People are coming to the hospital for various pre-COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 medication, of late.

However, absence of an Ayurved doctor in the only Ayurved health center of the district has been hampering services provided by the center, said information officer Hikmat Chand. “Various services have affected as the doctor is not available,” he said.

The importance of Ayurvedic medicine has increased amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. Locally available medicinal plants and herbs are being widely used.

Along with Melauli, ayurved clinics are also present in Musyachor of Dasarath Chand municipality-1 and Sahilek in ward no. 4 of the same municipality.
