Prachanda expresses grief over Mukherjee’s death



KATHMANDU: Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has expressed grief over the demise of former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.

The former Prime Minister said that he was shocked by the news of Mukherjee’s death.

“A heartfelt tribute! The news of the tragic death of former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee has come as a shock. With his tragic demise, South Asia has lost a mature and experienced intellectual leader and Nepal a unique friend,” Prachanda said.

Prachanda has further extended the most profound condolences to the government of India and all Indian citizens.

Former Indian President Mukherjee passed away at the age of 84 years today.
