78-yr-old man dies of COVID-19 in Chitwan



CHITWAN: A 78-year-old man has died from coronavirus in Chitwan on Monday morning.

The septuagenarian was admitted to Bharatpur Hospital on August 22 after he complained of respiratory complications.

“A 78-year COVID-19 patient succumbed to coronavirus in the course of treatment this morning,” said Liladhar Poudel, the information officer at Bharatpur Hospital.

Originally from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-6, Kedarbag, the elderly tested positive for coronavirus on August 18.

He was a member of Seniors Communist Forum, Chitwan until recently, according to his contemporary Bishnu Ghimire.
