COVID-19 kills 64,617, infects 3,619,169 in India



KATHMANDU: More than 79,000 people have been infected from coronavirus in a single day in India.

With 79,457 in the past 24 hours, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 3,619,169 until the filing of this news in India.

India is the third worst-hit after Brazil and America in the world by the coronavirus in terms of both deaths and infection cases.

Among those infected, 2,772,928 have returned home while 781,624 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers in the country.

Similarly, more than 64,000 people have died from coronavirus in the country.

With 960 deaths in the last 24 hours, the number of deaths from COVID-19 has reached 64,617 in India as of Monday morning, according to the latest figures collated by Worldometer.
