Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 56 as sexagenarian dies at Patan Hospital



KATHMANDU:  The number of deaths in Nepal from coronavirus has reached 56 after one more person died at Patan Hospital on Friday morning.

According to the hospital, a 65-year-old woman from Lalitpur succumbed to the deadly virus in the course of treatment this morning.

She had been admitted to Patan Hospital after she was found infected with the virus during test at Star Hospital on July 21.

The woman was suffering from pneumonia, informed Bishnu Prasad Sharma, Director at Patan Hospital.

Earlier, three people were reported to have died from coronavirus in Birgunj on Thursday night.

With this, the number of deaths in Nepal from coronavirus has reached 56 so far.
