Coronavirus cases cross 2.6 million in Brazil



KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection cases have crossed 2.6 million in Brazil in the last seven months.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, the death toll has reached 91, 377 after 1,189 new deaths were reported.

Similarly,  the number of infection cases has climbed to 2,613,789 so far.

Currently, 698,317 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8,318 are critical. Meanwhile, 1,824,095 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China on December 31, 2019, the coronavirus pandemic has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances, killing 676,759 and infecting 17,474,691 people across the world.
